Professional Membership
Available to anyone with an undergraduate degree in industrial design or a related design discipline (even if you didn't study I.D., professional experience counts). Practitioners, educators who are involved with the industrial design of products, instruments, equipment, packages, transportation, environments, information systems (to name a few) or related services are more than welcome to join with this type of membership.
Affiliate Membership
Available to any individual not eligible for other forms of Membership in the Society.
We encourage manufacturers, engineers, developers, entrepreneurs and all others sectors with an interest in getting connected with the Industrial Design community to join. It's beneficial to everyone and we get acquainted with you (often offering work if the opportunity arises) and vice versa. After all, Rhode Island is so small, why not bridge all the gaps and fully strengthen our community?
Student Membership
Available to any college or university student in the United States. As a student you will get many of the same benefits of a professional membership in terms of networking, advice, and discounts on events that we put on and other events taking place in the state like RISD Museum's Music Fridays. Students meet professionals, professionals meet students. It's a reciprocal and beneficial relationship to strengthen our growing Industrial Design community on multiple levels!
